PSEM19831109PUBLIC SEWER COMMITTEE . MINUTES OF MEETING HELD NOVEMBER 9, 1983 The meeting was called to order by Acting Chairman DeAngelis at 8:00 P.M. Also present were Committee Member Gaetzke, Mayor Salentine and those persons per the attached list. Chairman Nilsson was absent. The Committee discussed the possible extension of Bass Bay sewers to serve the Oshmann, E1Dorado Retreat, Klenz and Ladwig Dr. properties. Many questions were asked from the floor. The Committee discussed a letter from the engineering firm of Foth and Van Dyke regarding the Wauer Rendering Plant with Jerry Sevich. The committee referred them to Ruekert & Mielke for engineering guidance on their project. Mayor Salentine indicated they were located in the sewer service area contracted with MMSD. The Committee further indicated that they would be receptive to consider servicing the Wauer plant in the future. The Committee reviewed the proposed Holding Tank Ordinance (re. Scott Krause) and indicated that if the ordinance is approved by the Waukesha Park and Planning Commission, the Sewer Committee would recommend approval to the Council. The Committee reviewed the report from Ruekert & Mielke on the Woods Road Interceptor Assessment Roll. Ald. DeAngelis moved to assess Woods Road, Kurtze Lane and Bay Lane a front foot assessment of $24.19 and $990.28 for laterals. Seconded by Ald. Gaetzke, motion carried. The Committee deferred the request of Donald Klejsmit for extension of sewers on Flintlock Trail because there has been no further correspondence from SEWRPC. The Committee discussed Demshar's forced hook-up. Mr. Demshar has refused to allow anyone inside the house for work. The Committee instructed Building Inspector Lee to proceed with the forced hook-up. The Committee discussed Abandonment of the Sewage Treatment Plants. The Committee directed the city engineer to obtain direction from the DNR to allow City to stockpile dirt for filling ponds. The Committee reviewed the proposed amendment to the Agreement Creating the Linnie Lac Sanitary Sewer District: The amendment has been submitted to New Berlin for review. The Committee reviewed the minutes of the previous meeting. The Committee discussed starting the bidding process for the Kurtze Lake Sewer Project. Ald. DeAngelis moved to have the project bid with two alternative bids requested - one for Kurtze Lane and one with Kurtze Lane and the Pellmann cut de sac included. Seconded by Ald. Gaetzke, motion carried. The Committee discussed contribution to FLOW coalition. Ald. DeAngelis moved to make the next contribution to FLOW of $21,000 as Muskego's share. Seconded by Ald. Gaetzke, motion carried. The Committee reviewed request of MMSD for City's consent to the District's proposed boundary. The Committee reviewed a letter from Atty. Molter regarding this proposal. Ald. Gaetzke moved to adjourn at 11:30 P.M. Seconded by Ald. DeAngelis, motion carried. Respectfully submitted, Ald.
