PSEM19830406I- PUBLIC SEWER COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO AlMINUTES OF MEETING HELD APRIL 6, 1983 The meeting was called to order by Acting Chairman Nilsson at 7:06 P.M. Also present was Committee Chairman Tomczyk, City Clerk Stewart and Mayor Salentine. Ald. Nilsson read the report submitted by Ruekert and Mielke regarding the sewer lines in the Freedom Acres Subdivision. Ald. Nilsson read the "Written Procedures to be Followed to Prevent Flooding of Basements Due to Surcharging in the City's Sewer System". Considerable discussion followed and many ideas were presented by the residents of the Freedom Acres Subdivision who were present and the committee. After the discussion, Ald. Tomczyk moved to have the City Clerk request quotes to purchase another pump. Seconded by Ald. Nilsson. Motion carried. Ald. Nilsson moved to adopt the written procedures as mentioned above to be effective immediately. Seconded by Ald. Tomczyk. Motion carried. The committee discussed the proposed Hillendale Sewer extension. Ald. Nilsson advised those persons present in the audience how the committee had decided on the costs of the project. • Ald. Tomczyk moved to recommend to the Common Council to extend the sewer moratorium an additional six months. Seconded by Ald. Nilsson. Motion carried. The committee noted that Mr. Ray Gray, representing the Walter Wollman property, did not appear at this meeting. The committee reviewed a communication from Building Inspector Lee, Dated March 1, 1983, in which he advised the John Reeve dwelling at S69 W12832 Woods Road is no longer being used as a mother-in-law unit and therefore would be eligible for a sewer usage charge in 1983. Ald. Nilsson moved to recommend a refund in the amount of $120.00 to Mr. John Reeve for 1983 sewer usage charge. Seconded by Ald. Tomczyk. Motion carried. The committee reviewed the report of the Sewer Treatment Plant Operator and placed same on file. The committee reviewed the minutes of the previous meeting and placed same on file. p � I ���� (� Ald. Tomczyk moved to recommend 8% intem:t be charged to those property owners included in the Hillendale Drive extension sewer project who wish to be placed on the 10-year installment payment plant.
