PSEM19821007PUBLIC SEWER COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO
MINUTES OF MEETING HELD OCTOBER 7, 1982
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Klenz at 7:00 P.M. Also
present were Committee Members Tomczyk and Nilsson, Building Inspector
YakLee, Mayor Salentine and Sewer Treatment Plan Operator, James Kibbe.
The committee discussed the re -submittal of holding tank request
for Country Club Oaks (Scott Krause). The committee had advised
Gerald Lee to have the new application re -submitted to Reukert and
Mielke for the holding tank.
The committee reviewed the matter of the Demshar easement. The
committee had discussed the cost Mr. Schuler had placed for easement
rights. Ald. Nilsson moved to direct the city attorney to offer
$500.00 for the easement with the alternative of condemnation.
Seconded by Ald. Tomczyk. Motion carried unanimously.
The minutes of the previous meeting were reviewed and placed on
file.
Mr. William Mortimore appeared before the committee to request a
force main in outlots 1 and 2 in Lake Brittany Subdivision. It
was the committee's recommendation to refer the plan to Ruekert and
Mielke to check for any engineering problems. If none exist, the
committee would then recommend this concept. Also, to have the
city attorney check with the homeowner's association regarding
ownership.
The committee reviewed the sewer treatment plan report with James
Kibbe. Mr. Kibbe expressed his opinion that the inspections by
Reukert and Mielke need not be made as often as in the past. Ald.
Tomczyk moved to inform Reukert and Mielke to inspect the plant on
a quarterly basis. Seconded by Ald. Nilsson. Motion carried.
The committee discussed the flowage of sewage in the Norway system.
The feeling of Mr. Kibbe was that the flowage was less than what
the committee originally had contracted for. The committee authorized
Ruekert and Mielke to install a measuring device to substantiate
the exact flowage with the possibility of then re -negotiating a
new contract.
Chairman Klenz read a communication from William Reeder regarding
sewer charges for Windsong Apartments. The committee will respond
to the communication.
Ald. Nilsson moved to adjourn. Seconded by Ald. Tomczyk. Motion
carried. The meeting adjourned at 8:30 P.M.
Respectfully submitted,
Ald. Ralph Tomczyk, Sec'y.
