MINUTES OF FETING HELD JANUARY 6, 1982
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Salentine at 7:10 P.M.
Also present were Committee Members Klenz and Dumke, Ald. Penovich,
Building Inspector Lee and Mr. Harold DeBack.
. Ald. Penovich appeared at the meeting in behalf of Mrs. Florence
Fahning, Tess Corners Drive, to request that her property be billed
for sewer usage as a one -family rather than a two-family. The property
is being used as a one -family and it is their intent to keep it as
such indefinitely. Ald. Penovich was advised by the committee to
have Mrs. Fahning discuss the matter further• with Building Inspector
Lee.
The committee discussed the Demshar forced hookup in the Lake Denoon
area. A communication from City Attorney Molter was reviewed. The
letter explained several alternatives that could possibly resolve
the situation. Following considerable discussion, Ald. Salentine
moved to have the sewer utility accept the responsibility for
obtaining the necessary easement. Seconded by Ald. Klenz. Motion
carried.
The minutes of the previous meeting held December 11, 1981 were reviewed
and placed on file.
• The committee reviewed the Bass Bay sewer plans. The possibility
of relocating a portion of the proposed sewer easement in the area
of the Pellmann property on Kurtze Lane was discussed. The matter
will be submitted to the city's consulting engineers, Ruekert and
Mielke for their review and recommendation.
Ald. Dumke moved to'direct Ruekert and Mielke to submit to the
committee an estimate of the cost of extending sewers from Woods Road
north to Ludwig•'s Subdivision to service the homes with failing
septic systems. Seconded by Ald. Klenz. Motion carried.
Ald. Salentine moved to recommend to Common Council the adoption
of the proposed resolution regarding the settlement of the MMSD
vs. Franklin lawsuit. Seconded •by Ald. Dumke. Motion carried.
Ald. Dumke moved to adjourn. Seconded by Ald. Klenz. Motion carried.
The meeting adjourned at 8:30 P.M.
