PSEM198101121� • PUBLIC SEWER COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO MINUTES OF MEETING HELD JANUARY 12, 1981 The meeting was called to order by Chairman Salentine at 8:04 P.M. Also present were Committee Members Steinberg and Radtke, Mayor Gottfried, Mr. Estel Ellery and Mrs. Blends Treba. The report from Building Inspector Lee, dated 12/19/80, regarding forced hookups in the Lake Denoon area was read by Chairman Salentine. The report stated that quotations for the necessary forced hookups have been requested from thirteen contractors and all property owners have been notified. The minutes of the meeting held 11/17/80 were read by Ald. Steinberg and were approved and placed on file. Sewer Treatment Plant Operator James Kibbe's report for the month of November was read and placed on file. Mrs. Blends Treba appeared before the committee to request sewer connections for property that could possibly be used for housing for the elderly. Mrs. Treba answered several questions relating to how such a project worked, who would be eligible to live in such housing, etc. The committee stated they felt such a housing project, • if approved, should be offered to Muskego residents. The committee reviewed terms of the proposed lease between the city and Dorothy Vesbach for lands upon which the northwest treatment facility is located. Ald. Radtke moved to recommend approval of said lease. Seconded by Ald. Steinberg Motion carried. The committee discussed the method of payment to the City of Muskego for sewer service for the Linnie Lac District by the City of New Berlin. Ald. Salentine moved to deny the request of the City of New Berlin to be billed quarterly. Seconded by Ald. Steinberg Motion carried The committee reviewed the 1981 sewer utility budget. A report received from the Department of Natural Resources regarding the sludge depth in the northwest lagoons. The report indicated the sludge depth in all of the lagoons was below 12 inches. The committee noted that removal of the sludge is not required by the DNR until it reaches 18 inches. Ald. Salentine moved to adjourn. Seconded by Ald. Steinberg. Motion carried.
