PUBLIC SEWER COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO
MINUTES OF MEETING HELD JANUARY 16, 1978
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Dumke at 8.00 P.M. Also
present were Committee Member Ford, Ald. Wallner, Mayor Gottfried,
Mr. and Mrs LaCourciere and Mrs. Irene Masch.
Mrs. Irene Masch, owner of the former Mahn property, appeared with
Mr. and Mrs. LaCourciere, regarding the possibility of purchasing
additional lands next to their home in order that they could build
a garage without affecting the deferred sewer assessment previously
granted by the Council.
Mr. Tony Benkowski, representing UniShelter, Inc. appeared at the
meeting to make a formal request for consideration for sewers for
Freedom Square IV as originally proposed and approved. He indicated
that he -would be willing to develop the property in phases.
Mr. Ray Wallner, representing Clarence Froelich, appeared at the
meeting to request a division of property consisting of eight (8)
lots. He stated that Mr. Froelich could not gain enough money
to meet his obligations to the city and county with the sale of
only four lots.
Chairman Dumke advised that the city has been notified by Milwaukee
Metropolitan Sewage Commission that corrections have all been made
and residents on Velva Drive in 'Bay Lawn Subdivision can now connect
to the city's sewer system.
The committee reviewed the report of the sewer treatment plant
operator and placed same on file.
Ald. Ford moved to recommend to the Common Council approval of a
sewer lateral refund for a substandard lot on Jewel Crest Drive for
Frank Hellenthal. Seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion carried.
Mayor Gottfried informed the committee that progress on the Wildflower
Development was expected in three to four weeks.
The committee agreed to notify Mrs. Viola Kurtze and her attorney
that the city would wait one more month without beginning condem-
nation procedures to facilitate progress on the Bass Bay Sewer Project.
Mayor Gottfried informed the committee that attorneys for the Town
of Norway and City of Muskego will meet to try and resolve problems
relating to the Lake Denoon Sewer Project.
Ald. Ford moved to adjourn. Seconded by Ald. Dumke. Motion carried.
The meeting adjourned at 8.23 P M.
