MINUTES OF MEETING HELD SEPTEMBER 5, 1974
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Dumke at 7:20 P.M. Also
present were Aldermen Colburn_ ;Wallner_and Schaumberg and Mayor
Gottfried.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved and placed
on file.
The reports of the northeast and northwest treatment plants were
reviewed.
Mayor Gottfried to check with the Department of Health as to why the
fecal count at Idle Isle on Little Muskego Lake was so high. The
committee expressed concern regarding this matter.
Ald. Colburn moved to recommend Council approval of a resolution declaring
the city's intent to incorporate sewer usage charges into real estate
tax statement on an annual basis. Seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion carried.
Ald. Dumke moved to recommend Council approval of a resolution
• authorizing the Finance Committee to initiate procedures to borrow
monies through the use of B Bonds for installation of sewers on S.T.H.
24 west of Racine Ave. and the Freedom Acres Subdivision with an option
for other areas. Seconded by Ald. Colburn, motion carried.
Ald. Schaumberg moved to recommend Council approval of a resolution
approving an agreement between the City of New Berlin and the City of
Muskego which would create the Linnie Lac Sanitary Sewer District with
the full understanding that it will serve only the existing 65 homes,
four of which are combined with commercial use, two are duplex units,
four commercial uses and three or four cottages. Seconded by Ald.
Colburn, motion carried.
Ald. Wallner appeared to request sewer service for his property on
C.T.H. "Y".
Ald. Colburn moved to adjourn, seconded by Ald. Schaumberg, motion
carried.
