PSEM19730813PUBLIC SEWER COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO MINUTES OF MEETING HELD AUGUST 13, 1973 The meeting was called to order at 9:45 A.M. by Chairman Dumke. Also present were Aldermen Knudsen, Wallner and Foldy and Mayor Gottfried. Ald. Foldy appeared at the meeting to request the committee to form a statement of policy in writing on the Fountainwood Pool because of its usage only on a seasonal basis. He also appeared in regard to the restoration of his area. Viola Kurtze appeared at the meeting requesting sewer service along Woods Road but not on Kurtze Lane. The committee is awaiting an official petition from Mrs. Kurtze. Mr. John J. Mark, representing Hallmark Development Co., Inc., 704 E. Layton Ave., Milwaukee, appeared requesting the availability of sewers for proposed Durham Heath Subdivision. No action was taken. Mr. Ray Wallner appeared at the meeting for the Muskego Industrial Park, Inc. requesting sewer service for 99 acres (15 acres - 30 lots - two family apts. and the balance of the 99 acres as RS2). No action was taken. Mr. Herb Puetzer & Associate, representing the Lazynski-Beck property, • appeared requesting sewer service for that property (99 single family homes). No Action taken. Motion carried. Public Sewer Committee 8/13/73 - P. 2 - Cont'd. • Ald. Dumke moved to recommend to the Common Council the approval of settlement with Bell-Reichl Co. for oxidation system repair in the amount of $8,500.00. Seconded by Ald. Knudsen, motion carried. Copy of a communication received directed to Ruekert & Mielke, Inc., dated 7/19/73 from Michels Pipe Liae Const. Co. indicating a willingness to discuss the condition of the sewer line on St"VM Drive. Ald. Dumke moved to accept a credit from the L. W. Allen Co. in the amount of $325.00 for two pump assemblies and motor. Seconded by Ald. Knudsen, motion carried. Mayor P. Harry Eberle, Alderman John Schober and City Engineer Finch of the City of New Berlin appeared at the meeting to request sewers for the Linnie Lac area involving approximately 35 homes. The committee will get back to them following a more indepth study by Ruekert & Mielke, Inc. A communication from the Waukesha County Dept. of Health revealed the following information: Idle Isle Beach City of Muskego Beach #2 Muskego Dam Linnie Lac Dam Jewel Creek Jewel Crest Culvert Report placed on file. Fecal Coliform Detergents 80 0.05 20 0.06 L.T. 10 0.05 20 0.05 30 0.05 A communication was reviewed from Lowry, Hunter and Tikalsky, Attorneys for Walter and Dorothy Vesbach, dated 6/28/73, directed to Mayor and Council, requesting the city to reserve capacity of northwest treatment plant to serve their property in Sections 15 and 16 with sewer service as per their agreement with the city on March 28, 1967. Another communication regarding this matter, dated 7/18/73 from City Attorney Buckley directed to Mayor Gottfried, was reviewed and placed on file. A discussion was held by the committee regarding the proposed chart for the northeast and northwest treatment plants. This should be finalized in two weeks. A claim from Peter Chmiel in the amount of $466.06 as a result of damage to his car from sewer construction on Tess Corners Road was ceceived. Ald. Knudsen reported that the personal claims as a result of oiling the streets in Hillendale Heights following sewer construction have not been settled. Mayor Gottfried indicated that some settlement had been offered, however, there has been no settlement as of this date. Ald. Knudsen moved to adjourn, seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion carried.
