PSEM19730604• PUBLIC SEWER COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO MINUTES OF MEETING HELD JUNE 4, 1973 The meeting was called to order at 9:30 A.M. by Chairman Dumke. Also present were Aldermen Knudsen, Wallner and Czarnecki and Mayor Gottfried. The Sewer Committee is awaiting an answer from Rock Contractors on the restoration problems in the "G" District before final payment is made. The committee will send Matt & Kitty's Bowling Alley a copy of the city's ordinance concerning the sewer usage charge in answer to their protest. It was the committee's feeling that the charges were correct. Ald. Dumke moved that the committee will look at the Giefer and Thibedeau problem on Luehring Dr. and report back in two weeks. Seconded by Ald. Czarnecki, motion carried. The committee reviewed a report on the sewage flow for the month of April which showed a low of 381 gallons and a high of 1,213,000 per day. The May report showed a low of 639,000 gallons per day and a high of 1,053,000 gallons. • Ald. Dumke moved to notify the contractors (Project MSS-1-72 - Madsen, Hillendale Heights - - Project MSS-9-71 - Ryan - Tess Corners Drive - - Project MSS-8-71 - United Sewer & Water - Belmont Greens & Glenbrook) that in the event the unfinished work, including restoration, is not completed within 30 days the City of Muskego will have the work done and charge it against the contractor as provided in the agreement. The following report was received from the Waukesha County Dept. of Health: Linnie Lac Dam Idle Isle Beach Jewel Creek Little Muskego Lake Dam Report placed on file. It was the opinion of the committee that the quotes were too extreme. •Building Inspector Lee will be asked to review the proposals and to attempt to interest other contractors to quote on the forced hookups. A representative of Ruekert & Mielke will be invited to attend the next meeting of the Sewer Committee for the purpose of discussing the lagoons. The meeting adjourned at 12:35 P.M.
