MINUTES OF MEETING HELD OCTOBER 17, 1972
• The meeting was called to order at 10.10 A.M. by Chairman Schaumberg. Also
present were Aldermen Knudsen and Dumke, Engineer Barry, Mayor Gottfried,
City Attorney John Buckley and Consulting Engineer John Mielke.
Mr. Vernon Stoehr appeared before the committee questioning the possibility
of providing for the 20-acre parcel of land owned by Ralph Martin on Martin
Drive. The committee explained the problems involved in opening new lands
for subdivisions.
Mr. Stoehr also requested the clarification of the status of the Schmidt
property on Muskego Drive (Oak Ridge, Unrecorded). This was referred to
Mr. Mielke for review.
The committee discussed with Mr. Buckley and Mr. Mielke the status of the
sewer project in the northeast district and their intent to levy liquidated
damages against the contractors. Mr. Buckley will review the matter and
report back to the committee.
The request from Schultz Sav-0 Stores to connect into the city's sewer
system was referred to John Mielke for recommendation as to the possible
sewer hook-up and use charges. Ruekert & Mielke will also evaluate the
• possibility of providing sewer service to Mannigans on S.T.H. 1124".
Ald. Dumke moved, as seconded by A1d. Knudsen, to recommend to the Common
Council that Ruekert & Mielke be huthorized to prepare specifications for
forced hook-ups in the "F" District.
Engineer Clark Barry reported on the progress of the necessary repairs
to the Lannon Lift Station and the committee reviewed the letter being
sent to residents within the sewer districts regarding illegal hook-up
of their sump pumps.
Ald. Knudsen moved to adjourn, seconded by Ald. Dumke. Motion carried.
The meeting adjourned at 12:15 P.M.
