MINUTES OF MEETING HELD AUGUST 7, 1972
Oe meeting was called to order at 10:05 A.M. by Chairman Schaumberg. Also
present were Aldermen Knudsen and Dumke and Mayor Gottfried.
The Committee reviewed correspondence from Mr. Don Otto regarding the assessment
of Merle Peppers.
The Committee received the asbilt plans from the Milwaukee Metropolitan
Sewage Commission showing a 60-ft. lateral for the Jerome Brad property from
,*e intersection of Silver Drive and Ruby Drive.
was the decision of the Committee to indicate that they would be willing
recommend to the Common Council the connection into the city's sewage
stem that area presently zoned B-2 of the former Loomis property now owned
y Ray Wallner.
The Committee is awaiting a letter to be drafted by Mayor Gottfried directed
to the residents of the Glenbrook and Belmont Greens regarding the status of
the sewer project in that area.
The Committee reviewed with Mayor Gottfried on the progress of the northeast
sewer project. He advised them that all the sewers except the intercepter
from Tess Corners Drive to the treatment plant have been approved and that
e Metropolitan Sewerage Commission has been requested to make a final
spection on the last link. It is expected that this will take approximately
two weeks. Mayor Gottfried will draft a letter to the residents of the area
advising them that they will be able to connect into the sewage system once
that final approval has been received.
Aid. Knudsen moved to correct the assessments to the Lewandowski and Brzezinski
properties on Hi-Y Drive to reflect a street frontage assessment instead of a
corner lot assessment. Seconded by Aid. Dumke, motion carried.
Aid. Schaumberg moved, as seconded by Aid. Dumke, that all of the people in
the 'T' District who have not hooked into the sewer system shall be given
30 days to do so or the city would have it done and assessment placed on the
tax roll. Motion carried unanimously.
Mr. Madsen of Madsen Construction Co. appeared at the meeting to request
temporary trucking on Prospect Drive. Aid. Knudsen moved to grant approval
subject to the following conditions:
1. That only sand will be trucked.
2. That trucking only be permitted thru August 11, 1972.
• 3. That the street will be cleaned up and repaired, if damaged.
4. That all drivers will be instructed to drive carefully.
Motion seconded by Aid. Dumke and carried.
Aid. Schaumberg moved to refund payment of $240.00 to Ray Hollencamp, Sr.,
S71 W19044 Hillview Dr., in answer to their request not to have sewer service
to a cottage at the rear of their home (cost of lateral installation). They

1. They are not planning to sell their property
\ 2. The cottage has no plumbing or heating
\ 3. The cottage is to be used only for storage
4. The cottage will not be rented to anyone

The following claims were reviewed:
From James Warner, S66 W12548 Somerset Dr., - culvert & driveway damage.
From Charles Foldy, W124 S6398 Somerset Dr., restoration of ditch has
not taken place.
From Wayne Hanzel, S70 W14484 Belmont Dr., - Driveway too high
From James and Audrey Rydzik, W190 S7544 Richdorf Dr., - Car and
personal injury on Sherwood Circle - claim was
there were no barricades and open manhole.
General correspondence was received and placed on file.
Ald. Schaumberg moved to adjourn, seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion carried.
The meeting adjourned at 12:45 P.M.
