PSEM19720508r PUBLIC SEWER COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO • MINUTES OF MEETING HELD MAY 8, 1972 The meeting was called to order at 11:14 A.M. by Chairman Schaumberg. • Also present were committee members Dumke and Knudsen, Building Inspector Lee, Consulting Engineer John Mielke, Engineer Clark Barry, Mayor Gottfried, Aldermen Ron Ford. The minutes of the previous meeting old on April 6, 1972, were approved and placed on file. Mr. Mielke presented the proposal for sewer installation for Hillendale Heights and Hi-Y Ranches. He also reported on the following: Muskrat damage to the tubing in the lagoons at the NW treatment plant The Lake Denoon easement requirements The need for a fulltime operator for the treatment plants The need to acquire aluminum sulfate liquid for the NW treatment plant. Building Inspector Lee will contact owners of property on Sherwood Circle regarding additional sewer laterals. 0 The meeting recessed at 12:45 P.M. and reconvened at 2:22 P.M. Ald. Dumke moved to accept the low quotation of Zidar Plumbing for installation of sewer lateral at the Mueller Industries residence on Pioneer Drive in the amount of $580.00. Installation to be completed within 30 days. Seconded by Ald. Knudsen. Motion carried. Correspondence was received and reviewed and placed on file. Ald. Schaumberg moved to defer action on C & C Bohrer's request for an extension of time to complete the Northeast treatment plant by May 31, 1972. Seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion carried. The following claims were reviewed once again: Neal Grunert - sump pump damage. Same referred to Michels Const. Co. Mr. Reske - driveway damage Mr. T. R. Labecki - property damage Geo. W. Guhr - property damage • Ald. Dumke moved that the request by Vern Stoehr for a credit of $223.63 for sewer assessment be denied. Seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion carried . unanimously. The committee discussed the problem of infiltration. The following corrective measures will be considered in the following order: Inspection of manholes on easement areas and ditch lines Lamping the main sewer lines to isolate problems Individual house check Ald. Knudsen moved to deny the adrian Schmidt request for sewer extension to serve his property which lies adjacent to Hi-Y Ranches Subdivision. Seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion carried. Frank Narlock will be contacted on a proposal to partially sewer his property with service from Hillendale Heights Subdivision. The committee agreed that Supt.
