PSEM19711202PUBLIC SEWER/WELFARE COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO MINUTES OF MEETING HELD DECEMBER 2, 1971 The meeting was called to order at 9:00 P.M. by Chairman Foldy. Also present were Aldermen DeBack and Schaumberg, Mayor Gottfried and Consulting Engineer John Mielke. Mr. Mielke appeared at the meeting to discuss the possibility of a combined venture between the City of Muskego and the City of Franklin in the building of a forced main and gravity sewer for hook-up to the Metropolitan Sewerage System. Ald. Schaumberg moved to recommend to the Common Council that we would be interested in participating with the City of Franklin in the construction of an over -sized forced main which they propose to construct in Forest Home Avenue and to recommend that alternate bids be taken and the final decision be made after the alternate bid is reviewed. Seconded by Ald. DeBack. Motion carried. Alderman DeBack moved to grant an extension to Bell-Reichl's contract on the construction of the Northwest treatment plant until June 1, 1972, with the city maintaining blowers and chlorination equipment, however, • the guarantee time on all equipment not to start until final acceptance of the completed project. Seconded by Ald. Foldy. Motion carried. The following claims were reviewed: Frederick O'Neil, Bay Shore Drive - Re: damage to driveway Donald Krieger - Re: damage to auto G. M. Korman, Skylark La., re: tar and oil damage to house, fence and boat. Ronald L. Olson, Hillside Dr., re: damage to garage and apron. Mayor Gottfried to correspond with contractors involved. Ald.
