MINUTES OF MEETING HELD JUNE 1, 1970

The meeting was called to order at 4:01 P.M.
Present were Mayor Gottfried, Aldermen Wollman, Sapp, Narlock and
Burgermeister, City Engineer Kelsenberg, Building Inspector Lee and
Consulting Engineer John Mielke.
A discussion took place regarding the installation of sewer main on
Woods Road from Mystic Drive to the site of the filtration treatment
plant. Also, portions of Sections 11 and 12, south of the plant at
McShane Road and the subdivisions of Bay Lawn and Freedom Acres. Ald.
Wollman moved to have the Engineering Firm of Ruekert and Mielke
study this area for the sizing of the treatment plant. Seconded by
Ald. Sapp. Motion carried.
Mr. John Mielke gave the following report:
All monies for sewer projects of 1967, 1968 and 1969 have been applied
for with ORAP. The City of Muskego should be receiving approximately
$375,000.00 for projects MSS-1. MSS-2 and MSS-3-67 and projects MSS-1
thru 5-68. The City should also receive $84,500.00 for Projects MSS-1
thru 3-69 (Highway Y Projects). The applications for Sewer Projects
• MSS-2-70 and MSS-3-70 have not been applied for as yet.
He also reported that the approximate cost for enlargement of the
present lagoons for additional useage would be approximately $75,000.00
and that the City would receive 25% of the total cost of the filtration
plant instead of the expected 50% as reported in past meetings.
Mr. Mielke suggested to the committee that prior to the public hearing
on June 24, 1970, that there be a representative from his firm available
to the public at City Hall for consultation to answer as many questions
as possible, dates and times to be published in the newspapers.
Ald. Burgermeister moved to have the firm of Ruekert and Mielke prepare
studies with reference to Mr. William Reeder's proposed formulas and
the past formulas that have been used. Seconded by Ald. Sapp. Motion
carried. Such report will be studied at the next sewer meeting.
The date of June 8, 1970, at 7:30 P.M. was set for the next sewer
meeting in order that the Engineering Firm of Ruekert and Mielke
could present the assessment roll of the forthcoming sewer project
to the Sewer Committee.

Ald. Wollman moved to adjourn. Seconded by Ald. Burgermeister. Motion
carried. The meeting adjourned at 6:15 P.M.
