PSEM19661229• MUNICIPAL SEWER COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO
MINUTES OF MEETING HELD DECEMBER 29, 1966
Chairman Weaver called the meeting to order at 4:00 P.M.
Present were Chairman Weaver, Alderman Budish, Mayor Gottfried,
Engineer John Mielke. Alderman Wollman arrived at 4:15 P.M.
ofEngineer Mielke explained to the Committee the procedures on
assessment to individual property owners. He also explained
the procedures to be followed at the hearing which will take
place on January 11, 1966, at 8:00 P.M. at the high school.
Mr. Mielke stated that if we decided to install the sewer only
part way at this time to the point where the interceptor leaves
the center of the road the cost would be $134.160. He went on
to explain that it could prove embarrassing to the city if the
sewer project were approved soon after the road construction
were completed and the side slopes and landscaping were torn up
almost immediately. Many questions followed by the Mayor and
the Committee.
• Alderman Budish suggested that the electric conduit for street
lighting should be installed in the road bed from S.T.H. 24 to
the Electric Company right-of-way. A discussion followed.
Alderman Budish moved that a recommendation of this be presented
to the Council. Seconded by Alderman Wollman. The motion carried
unanimously.
n
This Committee went on record unanimously to reaffirm the decision
of the Council to complete the entire sewer project from S.T.H. 24
to the Woods Road.
Respectfully submitted,
Edmund A. Budish, Sec y.
