PWAM19880310• PUBLIC WATER COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO MINUTES OF MEETING HELD MARCH 10, 1988 The meeting was called to order at 7:30 P.M. by Chairman Hilt. Also present were Committee Member Patterson, Mayor Salentine, City Engineer Ken Ward and Utility Superintendent Kloskowski. Committee Member Sanders was absent. The Committee reviewed the status of water projects with Engineer Ken Ward. Project MW-2-86 will be finaled out soon and MW-3-86 will be finaled by Spring. Correspondence was read regarding a cracked cement driveway at S76 W18140 Janesville Court. Ken Ward will check photos of driveway prior to construction and report back to the City. The status of the Guernsey Meadows Water Trust was reviewed. The Guernsey Meadows Homeowner's Association has been informed of the requirement of providing additional easements to the City. The Public Service Commission approval, dated February 25, 1988, has been received and placed on file. The status of the Kristin Downs Water Trust acquisition was discussed. The City Attorney is working with the representatives of the Water Trust. The minutes of the February 18, 1988 meeting were reviewed. Ald. Patterson moved to amend minutes to exclude the following tax key numbers from the last paragraph regarding Bay Lane Water Project: 2199.010 and 2199.011. This correction was made to remain consistent with the water assessment policy. Seconded by Ald. Hilt, motion carried. The Committee discussed the water service for the Muskego Nursing Home. Engineer Ken Ward advised that the 4 inch service has been installed and he will provide a breakdown of costs and letter of explanation. The City is requesting a breakdown to show what the lateral cost would have been if it had been installed as part of the original contract and to determine the Utility's cost for the 50% of the lateral installation under a separate contract. The Engineers have agreed to pay the remaining 50% cost for the lateral installation. The Committee reviewed the comments from the Bay Lane Water Project Public Hearing and determined that the assessment roll will remain as prepared. The Committee reviewed request from the DandiLion Park developer to determine if there is a value in adding the existing well on that property to the Municipal Water System. The City Engineer has been directed to review and submit his recommendation. Public Water Committee - Page 2 March 10, 1988 Utility Superintendent Kloskowski submitted a request to attend three seminars on water system maintenance. One seminar is on small system maintenance, one seminar is on the maintenance of hydrants & valves and one seminar is on pump and seal maintenance. Ald.
