PWAM19860708PUBLIC WATER COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO CORRECTED MINUTES OF MEETING HELD JULY 8, 1986 The meeting was called to order at 6:27 P.M. by Chairman Hilt. Also present were Committee Members Patterson and Dumke, Mayor Salentine, Ald. DeAngelis and those per the attached list. The Water Utility service map, which defines the area involved in the WCA assessment charge, was reviewed and amended to include a line north from Little Muskego Lake following Lochcrest west (including properties on both sides of Lochcrest) to Richdorf; south on Richdorf (including properties on both sides of Richdorf); west on Bay Shore (including properties on both sides of Bay Shore); west on Woodland (including properties on both sides of Woodland); south on Westlyn (including properties on both sides of Westlyn) and a line from the corner of Westlyn Drive and Sunset south to Highway 24. Ald. Dumke moved to adopt the same assessment procedures outlined in the Sewer Assessment Policy and requests the language to be updated to include the Deferred Assessment and Controlled Access resolutions. This assessment procedure will be reviewed at the July 28, 1986 Public Water Committee meeting. Seconded by Ald. Patterson, motion carried. The Committee discussed the citizen reaction to the feasibility of providing water service on Hillendale Drive. The request for providing water service to Mr. Dale Lofquist (W207 S8170 • Hillendale), Mr. & Mrs. David Cummings (W207 S8158 Hillendale) and Yvonne Kaegi (W207 S8144 Hillendale) was discussed. The Committee's policy for providing water service to the above properties is that the properties recognize the need for a booster pump, to be provided at their own expense, and each parcel contiguous to the north extension of the water service must be receptive to this before the next parcel north can be offered the water main extension. Ald. Dumke moved to include the properties on Hillendale north to Mr. Lowe, Jr,'s property (W208 S8151 Hillendale) in the Phase I contract for water service and the Committee will determine if this extension is financially feasible when bid results have been reviewed. Ald. DeAngelis relayed the request for extended water service north of the water service area where water pressure cannot be maintained by the water tower and would require a municipal pressure pump. The Committee's decision was that at this time water service is not being provided where municipal pressure pumps are being required. The meeting adjourned at 7:15 P.M. Respectfully submitted, . Ald.
