MINUTES OF MEETING HELD THURSDAY, OCTOBER 12, 1995
• The meeting was called to order at 7:25 P.M. by Chairman
Patterson. Also present were Committee Member Suhr and Salentine,
Ald. Misko, Ald. Rasmussen, Public Works Superintendent John
Loughney and those per the attached list.
The Committee noted that the meeting was posted on October 6,
1995, in accordance with the Open Meeting Law.
The Committee discussed status of Recycling. Supt. Loughney
presented the 1996 Recycling Grant application to the State and
reported that DNR has verified that we are able to list our
avoided disposal cost at "011. He also advised that less complaints
have been received this month than any other and that BFI has been
tagging the bins with stickers for people putting wrong items in
the recycling bins. When the next quarterly BFI newsletter is
distributed in November, there will be an article on the use of
containers other than garbage cans.
The Committee discussed status of Cable TV. Ald. Suhr moved to
send Warner a request for a full audited financial report.
Seconded by Ald. Salentine, motion carried 3-0. The Committee
would like to received a copy of the Milwaukee Consortium of
contract proposals with Warner Cable Company to review at the
November meeting. The Committee noted that they will be following
up on the possibility of purchasing a better camera for the
• Aldermen's Room.

There was nothing new to report on the status of Landfill
Agreements.
There was nothing new to report on the PRP Status of the East Troy
Landfill.
Under "Requests For Holding Tanks" the Committee discussed with
Mr. and Mrs. Merle Larson their request to waive the $1,000 cash
bond that was originally required by the Committee as noted in
Resolution #160-94, for their property on North Cape Road. Ald.
Salentine moved to recommend approval of new resolution with no
cash bond and to request that this item be addressed at a special
Common Council meeting prior to the Committee of The Whole on
Monday, October 16, 1995, to facilitate the need for immediate
installation. Seconded by Ald. Suhr, motion carried.
Ald. Suhr moved to adjourn at 8:15 P.M. Seconded by Ald.
Salentine, motion carried 3-0.
