MINUTES OF MEETING HELD THURSDAY, APRIL 6, 1995
The meeting was called to order at 7:05 P.M. by Chairman
Patterson. Also present were Committee members Dumke, D'Acquisto,
Mayor De Angelis and those per the attached list.
The Committee noted that the meeting was posted on Tuesday, April
4, 1995 in accordance with the Open Meeting Law.
The Committee discussed status of recycling with Chuck Ott and
Jeff Kay of BFI. Discussion took place regarding the complaint
tracking system and a limited number of complaints that have not
been properly handled. BFI will fax a copy of their complaint
tickets to the Department of Public Works for the City to track.
Further discussion took place regarding the flyer distributed last
week.
The Committee discussed the status of Cable TV. Mayor stated he
spoke with Bev Greenberg of Warner Cable regarding the status of
new channels. Warner is looking into whether or not a head end
upgrade is required.
• The Committee discussed the status of Landfill Agreements. The
City has not received a response from Waste Management to Attorney
Patrick J. Hudec's correspondence of March 23, 1995, which was
final notice that the City of Muskego does demand that Waste
Management comply with the terms of the contract and make payments
retroactive to the date of the initial demand at the rate of
$150,000.00 per year. The Committee discussed recommendations for
further action if compliance is not achieved. Discussion also
took place regarding the EPI trucking terminal issue.
The Committee acknowledged receipt by the City of Notice of Claim
regarding the East Troy Landfill.
Mr. Richard Knudsen appeared before the Committee to request
permission for a temporary trailer for May to October of 1995.
Alderman D'Acquisto moved to recommend approval. Alderman
Patterson seconded. Motion carried 3-0.
The Committee reviewed the application received by Mr. John
Glockner for a Salvage and Recycling Permit, including memo from
Plan Director Matt Sadowski. Alderman D'Acquisto moved to
recommend approval subject to a site inspection by Alderman Dumke
and reviews to be done every 90 days during the licensing period.
Permit will be for the 1995"- 1996 license year, which begins July
1, 1995. Alderman Patterson seconded. Motion carried 3-0.
• Alderman D'Acquisto moved to recommend approval of a Salvage and
Recycling Permit for James Kohne for the July, 1995 to June, 1996
license year. Alderman Patterson seconded. Motion carried 3-0.

Committee, the meeting was adjourned at 8:50 P.M.
