PWM19950302• CORRECTED PUBLIC WELFARE COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSREGO MINUTES OF MEETING HELD THURSDAY, MARCH 2, 1995 The meeting was called to order at 7:05 P.M. by Chairman Patterson. Also present were Committee Members Dumke and D'Acquisto, Public Works Superintendent John Loughney, and Cable Club Representative Jane Drake (arrived at 7:35 and Camera taping began at 7:30 P.M. The meeting was posted on 2/24/95 in accordance with the Open Meeting Law. The Committee discussed status of Recycling and noted that recycling and refuse collection problems are diminishing, but some problems still persist. The Committee directed that a letter be sent to Mr. Chuck Ott requesting that he create a complaint form for tracking all service complaints received for refuse/recycling and their disposition, and that Mr. Ott bring the form with him to the Public Welfare Committee of April 6, 1995. The Committee discussed status of Cable TV and directed that a letter be sent to Ms. Bev Greenberg, Warner Cable Communications, • alerting of financial reports that are due,the City and also request information on previous request by the Committee for remedies for poor signal quality and volume problems. • Ms. Jane Drake appeared before the Committee to further discuss status of meeting room wiring and scroll system. The Committee requests that the scroll speed be reduced so that it is readable for everyone. Jane expressed concerns with sound quality due to non-use of microphones, or people making comments without standing or using a microphone. Different solutions were discussed and proposals made to remedy the situation. Jane advised the Committee that Jeff Jones is in the process of purchasing Capital Budget approved equipment and will be ordering materials for wiring of Aldermen's Room. There may be a need to find someone to do the wiring as Jeff Jones is not as available as he was in the past. Under Communications and Any Other Business As Authorized By Law, Ald. Patterson discussed request received from a Muskego High Teacher to have a representative from BFI or the City speak on Recycling Program. The meeting adjourned at 8:30 P.M.
