MINUTES OF MEETING HELD NOVEMBER 11, 1992
The meeting was called to order at 7:05 P.M. by Chairman
Patterson. Also present were Committee Members Schneider and
Simmons, and Superintendent John Loughney.
Chairman Patterson advised that presently all pull bills are
being sent to him and requests that haulers be contacted to
have all future bills sent to Superintendent Loughney. It was
noted that we are now paying for removal of plastic.
Superintendent Loughney will check on how fencing was paid for
around oil recycling center at City Hall and advise Committee.
The Committee reviewed the following quotes received for 1,100
feet of cyclone fencing for the perimeter of the proposed
recycling center located at the Public Works Garage. The
fencing is 7' high with privacy slats, and includes a 28' gate
(two - 14' sections) and all hardware. Price does not include
delivery.

Munson Fence $12,763.00
Following is an estimate of gravel costs for this area also:
4" of 3/4" road gravel $ 4,839.00
4" of 1 1/2" TB $ 6,290.70
TOTAL $11,129.70
Ald. Simmons moved to authorize Superintendent Loughney to make
a purchase of the necessary fencing and gravel after he has
checked on quality of materials and advise Committee of final
purchase. Seconded by Ald. Schneider, motion carried.
A notice will be put in the local paper advising residents on
time of Christmas tree pickup.
Chairman Patterson will issue news release to local papers
advising of extension of dumping at the Metro Landfill in
Franklin.
It was noted that BFI is receptive to installing a recycling
• center at their Tess Corners site and specifics will be
forthcoming.

The Public Welfare Committee recommends that the Plan
Commission allow BFI to continue their Yard Waste operation for
another year. Supt. Loughney will again furnish to all
Committee members the latest information on Waukesha County's
program with Scotts for yard waste recycling.
A letter will be sent to Warner Cable inquiring if there are
any anticipated rate increases for 1993.
