MINUTES OF MEETING HELD SEPTEMBER 10, 1992
The meeting was called to order at 7:05 P.M. by Chairman
Patterson. Also present were Committee Member Schneider.
The Committee discussed status of recycling. Peltz Bros. will
now pay $2.50 per ton for paper.
The Committee directed that a letter be sent to all interested
groups involved in Recycling to invite them to the October
meeting to select Recycling dates for 1993.
It was noted that BFI will be advising Ald. Patterson of
recycling dates available at the College Avenue site.
The Committee discussed status of Cable TV. The Village of Big
Bend meetings are being broadcast on Channel 15. Warner Cable
is checking to see if cable can be run to Bay Lane school to
broadcast the Muskego/Norway School Board's meetings.
The Committee discussed status of landfill agreements.
Waukesha County to advise on split of revenue received as a
result of the agreement reached with Metro Landfill in
• Franklin. All monies received will try to be earmarked for
curbside recycling program.
The date for Trick or Treat was discussed. The Committee
recommended Sunday, November 1, 1992, 1:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M.
The Committee reviewed the minutes of the previous meeting of
August 18, 1992, and moved to change the date for curbside
recycling and garbage pickup to July 1, 1993, to coincide with
renewal of hauler permits.
The meeting adjourned at 7:40 P.M.
