MINUTES
OF MEETING HELD
FEBRUARY
6,
1992
The meeting was called to order at 7:05 P.M. by Chairman
Patterson. Also present were Committee Member Simmons, Dave
Warhanek and Jim Lindemer from the Cable Club, and Warner Cable
representatives Bev Green and Gary Owens. Committee Member David
Sanders arrived at 7:50 P.M.
The Committee discussed Recycling. The State of Wisconsin has
advised that we are to receive $33,439.00 in recycling grant
shared aids. Chairman Patterson will draft a letter to the State
inquiring as to procedure to follow to receive the full amount of
funds.
A financial report for distribution of funds to organizations
manning the Recycling Center was reviewed. It was determined that
checks will be disbursed to organizations when all checks have
been received from vendors for those organizations that
participated in the last six (6) months.
The Committee will check with other vendors to research present
market prices.
. Recycling containers and lids will be sold at the next three (3)
recycling dates (2/15, 3/7, and 3/21) or until they are all sold.
The Committee discussed Curbside Recycling and will prepare a
questionnaire asking if residents would be receptive, at what
cost, and what type of containers.
The Committee discussed status of Cable TV. Bev Greenberg and
Gary Owens, Warner Cable, appeared before the Committee to discuss
the cable transfer to Time Warner Entertainment Company, L.P.
Ald. Simmons moved to recommend approval of transfer, inserting
the date of March 15, 1992 into all blanks in 6th paragraph of
proposed resolution. Seconded by Ald. Patterson, motion carried.
The meeting adjourned at 9:30 P.M.
