MINUTES OF MEETING HELD SEPTEMBER 18, 1991
The meeting was called to order at 7:05 P.M. by Chairman
Patterson. Also present were Committee Member D. Sanders and
Recycling Coordinator Henry Posbrig.

The Committee discussed the status of Recycling. A letter will be
sent to all organizations who have previously manned the Recycling
Center, and those that the City has received requests from, to
invite them to attend the October meeting to schedule dates for
1991. Priority of scheduling dates will be given to those who
participated in 1991.
The Committee is securing quotes for 41'x 7" magnetic vinyl
advertisements for the City's Recycling effort and will be
contacting Warner Cable to investigate the possibility of
producing a video for airing on public access channel.
The Committee requests that an inquiry be made of Warner Cable to
determine the project date for cabling on East Parker Drive.
The Committee discussed Cable Club and will be reviewing their
1992 Budget during the Finance Committee work sessions.
Status of Landfill Agreements were discussed. Stoneridge
Negotiating Committee is finalizing and working on October dates
for public hearing. Metro Landfill Negotiating Committee is
finalizing negotiations.
The Committee discussed Recycling containers. Tulip Plastics is
the manufacturer they want to order from but they are awaiting an
answer to rectify the design flaw in top sides of the containers.
Ald. D. Sanders will check on the feasibility of sending postcards
through the mail to all residential dwellings who would then use
the card as identification to pick up containers at the Muskego
Historical Society Site.
Ald. Patterson reported that he is still waiting for a response on
the City's inquiry on participating in the Milwaukee White Page
Directory recycling project.
Ald. Patterson reported that he has been in contact with BFI to
investigate the possibility of an additional Recycling Center at
their College Court location. BFI will be open for collection of
leaf and grass clippings from October 15, thru December 1, 1991
and April 15, 1992 thru December 1, 1992.
Ald. Patterson moved to recommend approval of asphalting for the
Recycling Center at Stoneridge Landfill not to exceed $14,000 plus
additional dollar amount required for the additional 2" of asphalt
under the containers. Seconded by Ald. D. Sanders, motion carried.

Ald. Patterson will be contacting Wisconsin Electric Company to
determine cost for installation of light pole at the Recycling
Center at Stoneridge Landfill.
Ald. D. Sanders moved to recommend Trick or Treat date to be
Sunday, October 27, 1991, 1:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M.
The meeting adjourned at 9:15 P.M.
