Bros., Mr. & Mrs. Jacobs and Mark Lubinski.
Mr. Ron McMillan appeared before the Committee to explain rate
structure and cable offerings as outlined in his letter of
December 4, 1990, attached. He explained that Warner Cable has
retained an office in Tess Corners area. Repair calls can go to
7:00 P.M.; outages are taken care of around the clock. Ald.
Simmons discussed Channel Access to promote 911 and/or
Recycling.
Mr. Harry Peltz, Peltz Bros., explained proposal from Laidlaw
Waste Systems. LWS will pay Peltz $25.00/ton of which $23.00 is
Peltz's operation cost and Muskego would profit $2.00/ton; 2/25
increase of CPI on $25.00 per ton price. The agreement requires
an escrowing of $5.00/ton during the first five (5) years which
will continue to be escrowed until the ten (10) year agreement
expires. The purpose of the escrowed dollars is to guarantee the
City will fulfill the terms of the ten (10) year agreement.
• A tonnage figure for year would be determined and our obligation
would be to supply 90% of that figure. Mr. Peltz will contact
the City with household tonnage figures. He indicated that Peltz
Bros. would make up any shortage in the 90% figure. The
Committee recommended that the City research availability of
Recycling dollars to be used for Escrow funds ($5.00 holdback).
The Committee discussed placement of Recycling bins at Parkland
Mall. Ald. D. Sanders moved to request Mayor to look into
availability of State grant money for Recycling center
improvements. The City's liability insurance agent has advised
of increased liability if hazardous waste is dropped off at
