PWM19900305• PUBLIC WELFARE COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO MINUTES OF MEETING HELD MARCH 5, 1990 The meeting was called to order at 7:00 P.M. by Chairman Patterson. Also present were Committee Member Simmons and Mayor Salentine. The Committee reviewed Cable TV Status of transfer to Warner Cable Co. of Milwaukee. Ald. Simmons moved to direct Attorney Molter to include the following items under Section 4. of the Affidavit Of Acceptance Of Cable TV Ordinances And Other Responsibilities. Seconded by Ald. Patterson, motion carried. A. All cable installations ("drops") shall be buried to a depth acceptable to the City within 30 days of the original installation, weather permitting, including all "drops" that are unburied at this time. B. An authorized representative of Warner Cable Co. of Milwaukee shall appear before the City of Muskego Welfare Committee at least 30 days prior to any rate and/or service changes. • C. When any new subdivision has any occupancy permits issued prior to May 1st in any calendar year, then cable service shall be available to the homes in said subdivision on or before September is t of the year. Ald. Simmons moved to clarify Section (6) (c) to require Performance Bond in the amount of $50,000.00 and that upon execution of the transfer, the City release the cash road restoration bond in the amount of $20,000.00 to Ingersoll Cable Company and the Committee recommends not requiring Road Restoration Bond from Warner Cable Co. of Milwaukee. Seconded by Ald. Patterson, motion carried. Ald. Simmons moved to recommend that Section (7) Customer Service (e) 1. be amended to read as follows: The Grantee shall maintain at least one payment center in the City in a location convenient to the public. Seconded by Ald. Patterson, motion carried. Ald. Simmons moved to recommend that Section (13) (a) 6. be amended to read as follows: E Public Welfare Committee - Page 2 . March 5, 1990 Warner Cable Co. of Milwaukee will maintain records of those subscriber complaints and requests for service which it has received, the time of such reception, and the time at which it responded to said subscriber complaints and request for service for at least one year. Complaints forwarded by an alderman will be responded to in written form, upon request. Seconded by Ald. Patterson, motion carried. The Committee reviewed the revised Community Access Rules. Ald. Patterson moved to approve. Seconded by Ald. Simmons, motion carried. The Committee reviewed the status of landfills with Mayor Salentine. The Committee reviewed Recycling volunteer list and noted that the May Recycling date will be filled by Little Muskego Lake Association for "Green -Up Muskego". Volunteers are needed for June, August, November and December. The Committee recommended • that a request for volunteers be put on the Community Access Channel for the months that are not filled. The Committee noted that a letter had been sent to Waste Management and Parkland Mall asking them to review the traffic flow layout that was recommended for the Recycling Center at Parkland Mall. The Committee reviewed Youth Activities and noted that the next event will be held on Saturday March 24, 1990 which will be a Disco Dance and Volleyball.
