MINUTES OF MEETING HELD JANUARY 11, 1990
The meeting was called to order at 7:10 P.M. by Chairman
Patterson. Also present were Committee Members Simmons and
Dumke, and Mr. Art Schallock.
Mr. Schallock appeared before the Committee to discuss complaint
on correspondence received from Ingersoll Cable Co. in regard to
illegal cable signals. Mr. Schallock felt the letter received
was very strong and he is unaware of any illegal connections.
The Committee requests that Ingersoll Cable Co. write a letter of
apology to Mr. Schallock with a copy to the Public Welfare
Committee. The Committee further requests Ingersoll Cable
Company to tone down verbage in letters on illegal connections.
The Committee reviewed correspondence from Mr. Greg Mecha,
Janesville Court, in regard to his concern of cable that is not
buried around the front of the cut de sac. The Committee
deferred action until Chairman Patterson receives clarification
from Ingersoll Cable Co.
• Correspondence from the Clerk's Office noted that the interest
for the overdue Franchise payment in the amount of $581.94 has
still not been received. The Committee requests that Ingersoll
Cable Co. be contacted and advised that if this is not paid by
January 31, 1990, this amount will be deducted from the Franchise
Bond.
Ingersoll Cable Co. and Recreation Supervisor Schweitzer are
working together on the cable club equipment. Various equipment
has been serviced.
January 20, 1990 Recycling will be handled by Boy Scout Troop #19
- Mr. Brad Spencer - Troop Master. No schedule beyond that date.
The Youth Activities first event was very successful. There were
72 student participants. The Committee determined that they
would work on more extensive news coverage.
The Committee discussed the Waukesha County Block Grant
Program. The Clerk's Office is requested to send out a news
release stating that the Public Welfare Committee of the City of
Muskego is currently accepting applications for any small
business or organization interested in participating in the
Waukesha County Block Grant Program. All applications must be
submittd to the City of Muskego no later than Monday, February
12, 1990, at 4:00 P.M. to the attention of Alderman Patrick A.

the City Clerk's Office, Muskego City Hall, W182 S8200 Racine
Avenue, Muskego, WI 53150, weekdays from 8:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M.

A Public Hearing will be held on Monday, February 12, 1990 at
7:00 P.M. in the Council Chambers.
