MINUTES OF MEETING HELD JANUARY 12, 1988
The meeting was called to order at 10:15 P.M. by Acting Chairman
Taube. Also present were Committee Member Penovich, Ald. Dumke
and Mayor Salentine. Chairman Patterson was absent.
Ald. Penovich moved to go into Closed Session, pursuant to
Section 19.85 (1) (e) for the purpose of deliberating or
negotiating the purchasing of public properties, the investing of
public funds, or conducting other specified public business,
whenever competitive or bargaining reasons require a closed
session; specifically developing bargaining strategy concerning
negotiations with Waste Management over new permit and fees to be
charged. Seconded by Ald. Taube, motion carried.
The Committee reconvened into Open Session.
The Committee discussed request for extension of permit for Waste
Management (Muskego Landfill). Ald. Taube moved to accept Waste
Management's proposal of a guaranteed minimum of twelve (12)
months free dumping for Muskego residents or until the site is
. closed (whichever is later) and to accept proposal of $25,000
fee. Seconded by Ald. Penovich, motion carried.
The meeting adjourned at 10:30 P.M.
