PUBLIC WELFARE COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO
MINUTES OF MEETING HELD SEPTEMBER 24, 1987
The meeting was called to order at 9:15 P.M. by Chairman
Patterson. Also present were Committee Member Taube, Mayor
Salentine, Supt. Bertram and John Ingersoll.
The Committee reviewed Clerk's Office memorandum of September 24,
1987, listing various restoration complaints:
Restoration on Oakhill Trail and Easy Steet to
be done by November 1, 1987.
The Lincoln Drive & Kingston Drive area will
be restored by November 15, 1987.
Mr. John Ingersoll updated the Committee on the installation of
Cable. Crowbar Road will be started on Monday, September 28,
1987. He also advised the Committee that he will be installing
fencing at the location of the company on Janesville Road to
comply with the conditions of his Conditional Use Grant.
An attempt is being made to override the Cable system with an
answering microphone for emergency interruption. If the defects
cannot be corrected, a telephone system is being explored as an
alternative.
The Committee reviewed the Annual Report 1986/87 and placed on
file.
A discussion on the overdue Franchise payment for the first half
of 1987 was discussed and Mr. Ingersoll advised that it will be
paid in the first part of October and agreed to the late fee, per
Chapter 12.19 (6)(a) of the Municipal Code.
Mr. Ingersoll requested a letter from the City, dated October 3,
1987, be sent to the Bonding Company releasing the existing
$50,000 performance bond on the 24th of October if there is no
notice of claim to the bond holder received by October 23,
1987. A new bond will be replaced by October 24, 1987.
The Committee discussed Trick & Treat hours for the City of
Muskego and recommended Trick & Treat be held on Sunday
November 1, 1987, from 1:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M.
The Committee discussed the abuse of residential waste at Muskego
Landfill.
