PWM19861106PUBLIC WELFARE COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO
MINUTES OF MEETING HELD NOVEMBER 6, 1986
• The meeting was called to order at 7:05 P.M. by Chairman
Patterson. Also present were Committee Members Taube and
DeAngelis, Mr. Norm Dubuc (Ingersoll Cable Co.), Mrs. D. Zlensky
and Mrs. Charmaine Zlensky.
Mrs. D. Zlensky appeared before the Committee to voice her
concerns. On April 16, 1986, Mrs. Zlensky was approached by
Ingersoll Cable Co. to hook the cable to electrical source in her
home in order to supply power to the homes in the immediate area
requesting cable service. She was assured that this would be a
temporary situation. Since then, she has requested Ingersoll
Cable Co. to have this line disconnected from her electricity and
has not been successful. Mr. Dubuc assured Mrs. Zlensky that he
would check out the situation and call her on November 7 to make
arrangements to have the situation resolved within the next two
weeks.
The Committee discussed various other complaints received from
citizens. Mr. Dubuc will work on revising the present system and
try to expedite these concerns in a more timely fashion.
The service logs received from Ingersoll Cable Co. will be
discussed at the Council level to determine if the Council wishes
the City to continue to receive the reports.
• The Committee discussed the 3% of the $3.00 increase in cable
service as it is reflected in the Franchise Payment to the
City. Ingersoll Cable Co. was reminded of the previous agreement
that this figure would be matched at the end of December to pay
for Cable TV Club items already purchased.
•
The Committee reviewed Glockner's Extractive Permit and the City
Clerk is directed to notify Mr. Glockner that he is to arrange
for an appointment to meet with the Building Inspector to review
his plan of operation. If he does not accomplish this, he is to
appear at the December Public Welfare Meeting.
Chairman Patterson informed the Committee that the City had
received a request from a representative of Creative Ventures,
Inc., to be removed from the agenda.
The Muskego Landfill Volume records as of September 30, 1986 were
reviewed and placed on file.
The Committee reviewed the minutes of the previous meeting.
The meeting adjourned at 8:40 P.M.
