which indicated that the installation of the cable system was
near completion. He also reported that restoration is almost
complete and will reach completion by Spring of 1985.
The Committee discussed with Mr. Ingersoll their recent request
for an updated financial statement. Mr. Ingersoll reported that
we should be receiving the statement next week and in the future
they will be on time.
The Committee discussed the temporary trailer which is to be
replaced by a permanent building in the Old Muskego Settlement
Park. A meeting between Ingersoll Corporation, the City Attorney
and the Mayor is to be scheduled to resolve this matter.
• The Committee reviewed Public Access channel with Mr.
Ingersoll. The High School will be hooked up within a week.
When installation is complete, Ingersoll Corp. will offer
training on camera use. Equipment can only be used after the
course is completed. The High School and the City Council
Chambers will be able to telecast live. The Committee discussed
the possibility of purchasing equipment to provide for
telecasting committee agendas, etc.
The Committee discussed raising fine for cable tampering or theft
of cable service with a minimum fine of $150.00 and a maximum
fine of $500.00. The Committee requested the concerns be
addressed by the Municipal Judge and necessary amendments be made
to Chapter 12 of the Municipal Code.
Mr. Ingersoll stated that he will not increase his rates next
year and that if it ever becomes a necessity, he would address
the issue to the Common Council. He brought to the Committee's
attention that legislation will become effective in 1985 which
allows individual Cable companies to raise rates without City
approval.
The meeting adjourned at 8:15 P.M.
