PWM19841108iPUBLIC WELFARE COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO MINUTES OF MEETING HELD NOVEMBER 8, 1984 The meeting was called to order by Chairman Tomczyk at 7:00 P.M. Also present were Committee Member Gaetzke, Ald. DeAngelis, Mayor Salentine, Superintendent Bertram, John Ingersoll and Mrs. Mary Jane Koelsch. Ald. Hilt was absent. The Committee reviewed Cable TV Status with Mr. John Ingersoll. As of this date there are 2800 subscribers, installation is approximately 98% complete and restoration is about 75% complete. The Committee agreed that a verbal report would be satisfactory in lieu of the written reports previously submitted. The Committee recommended that the City Attorney review the status of the contract between the City & Ingersoll Corporation pertaining to construction of building with toliet facilities on the Old Muskego Settlement Park site. The Committee discussed Chapter 12.19(7)(e) 4 pertaining to Cable TV engaging in the business of selling, servicing, installing, or leasing television or radio receivers, converters or antennaes. Ald. Tomczyk moved to direct the City Attorney to draft an ordinance amending Chapter 12.19(7)(e) 4 by deleting the words • "shall not" and inserting the word "may" and by deleting subparagraph (19), the formation of a Citizens Committee. Seconded by Ald. Gaetzke, motion carried. The Committee discussed the Community Access Rules with reference to Paragraph 19. The Committee agreed to add to Paragraph 19, "If the Public Welfare Committee and Ingersoll Corporation cannot mutually agree, there would be no change in the rules". The Committee recommended approval of the Community Access Rules as amended. The Committee discussed correspondence from Waste Management regarding Water Utility. The Committee agreed to have the Mayor and the Chairman of the Welfare Committee contact Waste Management for more detailed figures as to cost to the City.
