PUBLIC WELFARE COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO
MINUTES OF MEETING HELD APRIL 4, 1984
The meeting was called to order at 8:30 P.M. by Chairman
Tomczyk. Also present were Committee Members DeAngelis and
Nilsson, and Mr. Ken Fuller.
Ald. Tomczyk discussed with the Committee the holding tank
request - General Motors Corp., W194 56945 Hillendale Dr. and
explained the history of attempted sale and inspection which lead
to condemnation of septic system. Ald. Tomczyk moved to
recommend approval of installation of a holding tank, but only if
it is understood that this area will be receiving sewer
installation within one year and that under the State of
Wisconsin Plumbing Code they would have to hook up to City sewer
within one year after sewer mains are available, with this
statement clearly indicated in the permit. Seconded by Ald.
DeAngelis, motion carried•.
The Committee discussed the duties of the Cable TV Citizens
Committee. The Committee agreed that the minutes of the Cable TV
Citizens Committee meetings should be read at Common Council
meetings and the Cable TV Citizen Committee shall confine their
function to those duties spelled out in the directive dated
November 16, 1983.
The Committee discussed the cost of providing municipal water in
the Industrial Park. The Committee is requesting City Attorney
Molter to research existing contracts with land owners (Offers to
Purchase) to see if the City can legally begin charging property
owners for water usage and/or maintenance.
The Committee reviewed Cable TV Status Report dated
April 4, 1984.
