PWM19830721• PUBLIC WELFARE COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO MINUTES OF MEETING HELD JULY 21, 1983 The meeting was called to order at 7:05 P.M. by Chairman Tomczyk. Also present were Committee Members DeAngelis and Nilsson, Mayor Salentine, Ald, Gaetzke, Ald. Penovich and Mr. John Ingersoll. Because RVS Representatives were not in attendance the Committee moved to Item number two on the agenda regarding Tornado Warning Signals. It was noted that the Muskego Fire Department has notified us that because of the type of sirens they have on their stations they will not take part in the early warning program. The only fire station which will have the siren sound will be the Tess Corners Volunteer Fire Department Station #1 on Tess Corners Drive. Mr. John Ingersoll appeared to explain his proposal for cable T.V, His proposal is to service the earlier agreed upon areas of Muskego plus the Lake Denoon area at the same fees as in the R.V.S. contract. Mr. Ingersoll proposes to do underground wiring and to complete 25 per cent to 50 per cent by the end of 1983 if he could start by August 1, 1983. The fees to be paid to Muskego would remain at 3 per cent of gross revenues. • A1d. Nilsson recommended that the next Welfare meeting be held in the second week of August to enable any other interested cable companies to make proposals, and also request Chairman Tomczyk to discuss the RVS contract with City Attorney Molter to enable a discussion regarding RVS to be held at the July 26th Common Council meeting. The Committee reviewed the July llth, 1983 letter from the U.S, Post Office to City Clerk Stewart regarding a petition necessary to make ZIP Code changes, The minutes of the previous meeting were reviewed, Mr. Richard Knudsen requested the Committee investigate problems at the landfill site, The Committee requests a discussion regarding the landfill be placed on the next agenda, The meeting adjourned at 7;55 P,M, RN/ j h Respectfully submitted, Ald.
