PWM19820512• PUBLIC WELFARE COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO MINUTES OF MEETING HELD MAY 12, 1982 The meeting was called to order by Chairman Tomczyk at 7:35 P.M. Also present were Committee Members Aldermen Penovich and Treba, • Police Chief Scholz, Supt. Bertram and Building Inspector Lee. Building Inspector Lee reported on the topography map submitted by the owners of the Thomas Landfill site. Engineer Tom Inman has shot the topography and the grades are now in compliance. The project is now one-half completed and could be completed in two weeks. Supt. Bertram appeared at the meeting to discuss the "No Parking" signs in the area of Muskego Drive and Hardtke Drive. It was the decision of the committee to leave the three signs east on Muskego Drive and also the two-way "Stop" sign at that intersection as is. (May 1st to October 1st of each year.) Supt. Bertram advised that he will review the road condition of Ruby Drive. Ald. Penovich moved to have temporary "No Parking" signs installed • from May 1st to October 1st on the north side of Belmont Drive across from Kurth Park. Seconded by Ald. Tomczyk. Motion carried. The committee discussed the problems of dogs at large within the city and the problem areas of Topaz Drive and Idle Isle. Supt. Bertram suggested that contact again be made to Mr. Vince Demshar, Waukesha County Highway Commissioner, regarding the possibility of a shadow lane on Racine Ave. in the area of Williams Drive. Supt. Bertram will call the Telephone Company to open the ditch and move their cable on Field Drive. This could be done in eight weeks. The ditch will be dug out and riprapped.
