MINUTES OF MEETING HELD NOVEMBER 19, 1981
The meeting was called to order at 7:12 P.M. by Chairman Radtke.
Also present were Committee Members Steinberg and Penovich.,
�. Mr. Hank Koch and Mr. George Meinholz from Waste Management.,
Ald. Knudsen and Mayor Gottfried.
The minutes of the previous meeting were reviewed and placed
on file. The committee discussed future refuse disposal plans
with Mr. Meinholz and Mr. Koch from Waste Management. The
current contract expires in October of 1983. A discussion took
place regarding the contract. Concern was expressed as to
whether or not Muskego would have dumping privileges beyond 1983.
Mr. Koch agreed to discuss what type of contract would be
acceptable with their Company and what Waste Management would
need from the City to initiate expansion of the landfill.
Tire disposal at the landfill was also discussed. The Committee
requested that Waste Management look into the cost of a tire
cutter to be used at the landfill site.
Ald. Knudsen voiced concern over the Thomas Landfill site. He
• requested that the engineers look at the site for possible
closure.
Ald Steinberg moved to adjourn. Seconded by Ald. Penovich.
Motion carried. The meeting adjourned at 8:45 P.M.
