PUBLIC WELFARE COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO
MINUTES OF MEETING HELD AUGUST 16, 1978
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Ford at 7 00 P.M. Also
present were Aldermen Van Lanen and Schaumberg and Mayor Gottfried.
The following matters regarding the One -Down Disco were discussed
a) The Electric Company will lower and shield the parking
lights.
b) The committee is waiting for the opinion of the City Attorney
on whether or not the city can require the paving of the rear
parking lot.
c) Police Department reports were reviewed indicating that in the
opinion of the reporting officers noise was not excessive.
The Tess Corners Rescue Reports were reviewed for the periods from
5/l/78 to 5/31/78 and from 6/2/78 to 7/25/78. Same placed on file.
A report from Waste Management was received and reviewed indicating
. tonnage at the landfile site for April, May and June, 1978. Same
placed on file.
The minutes of the previous meeting were reviewed and placed on file.
Ald. Van Lanen reported a complaint from a resident near the One -Down
Disco regarding excessive noise from customers leaving the Disco in
cars.
The city's need for a long range landfill program will be discussed
at the next meeting of the committee.
Ald. Schaumberg moved to adjourn. Seconded by Ald. Van Lanen Motion
carried. The meeting adjourned at 7 20 P.M.
