The meeting was called to order by Chairman Knudsen at 8:45 P.M. Also
present were committee members Wallner and.Foldy and Mayor Gottfried.
Mr. Don Otter, Operational.Manager of Waste Management, appeared to dis-
0,;uss plans for their disposal site in Muskego.
It was agreed that quarterly reports of tonnage hauled to the Muskego
site will be forwarded to the .Welfare Committee by the fourth Thursday
of the month following the end of each quarter. Mr. Otter presented
plans for overall restoration of the entire Wauer site including the
northerly 853 feet which in our -agreement can be excavated but cannot
be used for landfill purposes. The committee discouraged him from
including thq.rear 853 since it is high ground and has a stand
of trees which would be destroyed-.
Mr. Otter will re -do his plans to exclude the rear 853 feet and return
to the committee for review.
A geohydratechnical report has been prepared on the entire area and will
be presented to the committee within one month.
expected life of the entire site with this rear 853 feet is estimated
be three to five years more or 1985 to 1987. Without the rear 853 feet
e site may be completed by 1982 which coincides' with the termination of
our present agreement.
The committee received response from Inspector Lee on the Thomas landfill
site. The Department of Natural Resources permit requirements coincide
with the City of Muskego requirements. The committee reviewed and placed
on file. 41
A letter from Mr. Nowak of the Inspection Department to Mr. Martin Zinner
regarding the electrical work he did on his pole building was reviewed.
