MINUTES OF MEETING HELD JANUARY 15, 1976.
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Knudsen at 7:00 P.M. Also
present were committee members Wallner and Foldy, Mayor Gottfried, Ald.
Colburn and Zoning Officer Lee.
Is The committee discussed at length the problem of the keeping of dogs
and the construction of a runway at the Coll residence on School Dr.
Mr. Lee discussed the matter as it relates to the zoning ordinance and
indicated that he did not feel it was a violation of that ordinance
since he did not feel the runway could be classified as an accessory
building. Discussion was held relative as to whether or not the
problem could be considered a public nuisance and a copy of a letter
from City Attotmey Buckley will be reviewed at the next meeting. It
was also suggested that the committee invite the neighbors to a future
committee meeting to discuss the problem.
The committee reviewed Building Inspector Lee's report
on the Wauer sanitary landfill site which included the amount of
•tonnage brought to the site during 1975. Mr. Lee was directed to
contact the Department of Natural. Resources to determine the results
of the examination of the test wells and whether or not the indicated
tonnage was similar to that reported by the DNR. Since Resolution
#241-75 is before the Council it was the decision of the committee
to continue requesting deferment until the data can be confirmed and
until an updated site plan can be presented to the operators of the
site.
