• MINUTES OF MEETING HELD AUGUST 29, 1974
The meeting was called to order at 7:05 P.M. by Chairman Alderman
Knudsen. Also present were Ald. Wallner, Mayor Gottfried and Building
Inspector Lee.
• The minutes of the previous meeting were reviewed, approved and placed
on file.
Building Inspector Lee reviewed with the committee the steps required
for condemnation procedures.
The committee will make an inspection of several problem areas with
Building Inspector Lee as they relate to the city's Building Code.
The committee reviewed the results of the questionnaire regarding
use of municipal buildings in other communities. Ald. Knudsen will
prepare a list of limitations of use.
Correspondence was received and placed on file.
• Ald. Knudsen discussed the need for developing a prohibition on
holding tanks for new homes.
•
Ways were explored to assure proper care of the holding tanks as to
(1) assessment procedures (2) city regulated pumping, and (3) city
contracting with haulers. Limitation based on acreage was also
considered. Further discussion on this matter was deferred until
the next meeting.
Ald. Wallner moved to adjourn, seconded by Ald. Knudsen, motion
carried. The meeting adjourned at 9:30 P.M.
