• MINUTES OF MEETING HELD MARCH 7, 1974
Chairman Ford called the meeting to order at 8:20 P.M. Also attending
were Aldermen Wailner and Knudsen, Mayor Gottfried and Building In-
spector Lee.
Mr. Joseph Smukowski appeared to request approval of a sewage holding
tank for a home he intends to build on the former Art Thode farm. A
holding tank would be necessary because percolation tests showed the
land to be unsuitable for a leach bed and septic tank. Ald. Ford
moved to send a proposed agreement covering the holding tank to City
Attorney Buckley. Seconded by Ald. Knudsen, motion carried with Ald.
Wallner voting "no".
Mayor Gottfried agreed to write to Mr. Moritz and express our concern
regarding his failure to hook into the sewer system.
Mayor Gottfried agreed to contact the DNR to see if Norman Thomas has
now completely met the DNR requirements regarding the proposed Thomas
Landfill.
Correspondence was reviewed and placed on file.
• The committee and Building Inspector Lee continuedtheir discussion
of the Building Inspection Department. Mr. Lee will appear at the
next meeting also.

Building Inspector Lee informed the committee that he and Attorney
Buckley will look over the Froelich property on Tuesday, March 11, 1974.
The committee agreed to refer the matter of Johnny's Petroleum Products
to the Plan Commission as it appears that the owner has not fulfilled
the conditions of his Conditional Use.
Ald. Ford moved to adjourn, seconded by Ald. Knudsen, motion carried.
The meeting adjourned at 10:15 P.M.
