MINUTES OF MEETING HELD DECEMBER 6, 1973
• The meeting was called to order at 8:25 P.M. by Chairman Ford. Also
present were Aldermen Wallner and Knudsen. Building Inspector Lee also
joined the meeting later.
After a lengthy discussion of Resolution #200-73, Ald. Wallner moved to
have City Attorney Buckley draw up a similar resolution indicating that
the Common Council would not be receptive to those changes to the existing
• zoning map as proposed by the Plan Commission and presented at the public
hearing of October 15, 1973. Seconded by Ald. Knudsen. The motion failed
with Aldermen Ford and Knudsen voting "no".

Ald. Ford then moved to reconsider to give Ald. Wallner the benefit of
Attorney Buckley's assistance in drawing up a new resolution. Seconded by
Ald. Knudsen. Ald. Wallner stated that he would prefer to have his own
attorney draw up a resolution. Ald. Ford then withdrew his motion to
reconsider.
Ald. Knudsen moved that the committee indicate its willingness to consider
a re -application by Thomas Disposal Service for a limited sanitary landfill
at the Tans Drive gravel pit and further that Mr. Thomas provide the
committee with proof of his intent to comply with the three remaining
DNR requirements as outlined in the DNR letter to Mr. Thomas dated 11/20/73.
Seconded by Ald. Ford, motion carried.
Building Inspector Lee appeared to discuss the operation of his department
and how such operation may be improved. The committee will continue to
meet with Mr. Lee to consider the matter.
Ald. Ford moved to adjourn, seconded by Ald. Knudsen. The meeting adjourned
at 11:26 P.M.
