MINUTES OF MEETING HELD 8/17/72
The meeting was called to order at 7:25 P.M., by Chairman Dumke.
Also present were Mayor Gottfried, Ald. Cole, Ald. Ford and Ald.
Knudsen, and Attorney John Buckley.
The committee met at 6:30 P.M., on Racine Avenue and Highway 24
• with Mr. Larsen of Acme Disposal for a demonstration of the Henderson
trucks with the old versus the new muffler systems.
Mr. Carl Wauer and along with Mr. Casgar, Attorney, representing
Acme Disposal joined the committee when the meeting convened.
Discussion of the proposed Acme-Wauer-City of Muskego Agreement
followed at great length. The Acme representatives presented their
firm position as to the agreement. The committee agreed to further
discuss this matter later in the meeting. At this point, the people
other than the Mayor, Attorney and Aldermen left.
Two junk -car violations were reviewed and placed on file. Eight
zoning violations were reviewed and placed on file.
is Ald. Knudsen moved to accept the quotation received from Mr. Karseh
to remove the Hansen Cottage on Bay Lane Place, which has been con-
demned, at a cost of $400.00 for the removal plus $100.00 to fill
the excavation. Motion seconded by Ald. Cole and motion carried.
Ald. Knudsen questioned Attorney Buckley on the status of the
restoration of the Gravel Inc, land. Ald. Knudsen suggested that
Attorney Buckley contact the owners and/or their attorneys to re-
quest action as to the restoration. Attorney Buckley to c orrespond
with the committee before its next meeting.
Miscellaneous correspondence was reviewed and placed on file.
The committee continued the land fill site discussion with Mayor
Gottfried presenting some figures to committee spelling out the
cost and benefits comparisons. Ald. Knudsen presented some new
information to the committee on possible alternatives.
Ald. Knudsen moved to adjourn, motion seconded by Ald. Cole and
motion carried.
