PWM19700709PUBLIC WELFARE COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO MINUTES OF MEETING HELD JULY 9, 1970 The meeting was called to order at 7:15 P.M. by Chairman Burgermeister. Also present were Aldermen Dwyer, Wollman, Foldy and Sapp, Plumbing Inspector Robb and Mayor Gottfried. The minutes of the meeting held June 18, 1970, were reviewed and placed on file. Mrs. Viola Kurtze, S81 W17005 Woods Road, requested an estension beyond the June 30, 1970, date to continue using a condemned summer cottage for storage purposes. Ald. Dwyer moved to deny the request. Seconded by Ald. Burgermeister. Motion carried. The Committee granted a sixty-day extension to September 10, 1970, for demolishing the cottage. Mr. and Mrs. Norman Muschinski, owners of a condemned summer cottage at W165 S8208 Kurtze Lane, appeared before the committee to question and appeal the condemnation action. Ald. Burgermeister referred Mr. and Mrs. Muschinski to City Attorney Buckley to answer questions they had about legal procedure for condemnation action. Mr. Frank Switala, S77 W15973 Woods Road, appeared before the committee requesting another one-year extension to continue use of a condemned summer cottage for storage purposes. Ald. Dwyer moved to deny the request, seconded by Ald. Wollman. Motion carried. The Committee granted a sixty-day extension to Sept. 10, 1970, for demolishing the cottage. Representatives for Carl and Lydia Wauer presented a proposal to develop 114 acres of the Wauer property as a land fill restoration program. Mr. Clayton Kramer, Attorney, Waukesha, Wisconsin, and Mr. D. Rippl, Planner, made the presentation to the committee. The proposal was referred to the City Plan Commission. The meeting recessed at 8:45 P.M. and a joint meeting of Public Welfare and Public Safety was held with Mr. Ripley, Director of Environmental Health Services. A discussion was held on the procedures for reporting pollution violations. The Public Welfare Committee meeting reconvened at 10:00 P.M. Seven (7) Zoning violations were reviewed and placed on file. One (1) Junk car violation was reviewed and placed on file. Four (4) Plumbing Code violations were reviewed and placed on file. One of the septic tank violations had been resolved at the Public Works meeting held on July 9, 1970, at 4:00 P.M. One (1) building violation was reviewed and placed on file. • One (1) Electrical Code violation was reviewed and placed on file. The committee discussed with Inspector Robb what type of code violations should be submitted to the Public Welfare Committee for action. They are as follows: Condemnation, Junk Car, Pollution and Public Health violations. Ald. Dwyer moved to adjourn the meeting. Seconded by Ald. Wollman. Motion carried.
