PWM19700304• PUBLIC WELFARE COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO MINUTES OF MEETING HELD MARCH 4, 1970 Chairman Wollman called the meeting to order at 7:03 P.M. Also present were Aldermen O'Connell, Burgermeister and Building • Inspector Lee. Minutes of previous meeting held February 18, 1970, were reviewed and placed on file. Observation of the dump and of the rendering plant will continue by the Committee. Seven (7) Junk Car Violations were reviewed and placed on file. One (1) drainage problem was reviewed and placed on file. Action was referred to the City Engineer. The Junk Car Ordinance was reviewed and it was recommended by the Committee that the Rules, Laws & Ordinance Committee would review • the wording of the ordinance. A letter from the League of Municipalities dated February 27, 1970, was read and it is recommended to the Finance Committee that the City take advantage of their services. • The memorandum of the Building Inspector, dated February 24, 1970, regarding sewer hook-up was reviewed and it was recommended that the Sewer Committee that the eight properties listed therein should not be charged with a wet sewer charge. PUBLIC WELFARE COMMITTEE nR /» PUBLIC WELFARE COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO • MINUTES OF MEETING HELD MARCH 18, 1970 The meeting was called to order at 7:05 P.M. by Chairman Wollman. Also present were Aldermen Burgermeister, O'Connell and Sapp. Building • Inspector Lee was also present. is The minutes of March 4, 1970, were reviewed and placed on file. Mr. Harry Beilfuss, S69 W17602 Wildwood Dr., appeared at the meeting regarding dogs, both licensed and unlicensed, running at large. Also persons keeping more than the two dogs per household as provided for in the ordinance. Chairman Wollman recommended that Chief Kraus meet with the Committee to discuss this matter. Ald. Burgermeister suggested some possible changes in the present ordinance, as well as presenting a copy of the Village of Kewaskum's ordinance which was referred to the Rules, Laws & Ordinance Committee. Ald. Burgermeister and Mr. Stanley of the Park and Recreation Board presented the Committee with the bids and also discussed the plans and specifications for the recreation building at Kurth Park. The low bid of Tinti Construction Co. in the amount of $27,726.75 was • agreed upon and Ald. O'Connell moved to recommend to the Finance Committee approval of the low bid. Seconded by Ald. Wollman. Motion carried. , Four (4) Zoning violations were read and placed on file. Four (4) Junk Car violations were read and placed on file. Zoning Officer Lee reported that he had discussed Ordinance #114, As Amended, regarding junk automobiles with Attorney Buckley who will report back to the Committee after further study. A letter dated February 23, 1970, from the Little Muskego Lake Association was read and it was the Committee's decision to have the owner of the property involved to appear at the next Welfare Committee meeting to be held on April 8, 1970. A letter from the State of Wisconsin Dept. of Industry, Labor and Human Relations, dated March 5, 1970, regarding Zoning Officer training was read. Ald. O'Connell moved'to recommend to the Finance Committee • that the necessary monies be appropriated to send the Building Inspector to this training program. • A letter from the Department of Natural Resources, dated, February 27, 1970, regarding the sewering of the Tess Corners area was read and placed on file. The opening of Simandal Drive in Hi-Y Ranches Subdivision was discussed. and Chairman Wollman is to meet with the County Highway Department before any further discussion or action is taken. Ald. Sapp requested that the owner of the property abutting Mrs. Vivian Salentine on Janesville Road be contacted regarding the leveling of the debris dumped on the vacant lot. Building Inspector is to write a. letter to the owner asking that action be taken to level same. Ald. O'Connell moved to adjourn the meeting. Seconded by Ch. Wollman, motion carried.
