It was dis- cussed and determined by the Committee that due to the unusual circumstances at the present time, that our current City Treasurer could best serve the City if her position were made full time in lieu of part time rather than the addition of a bookeeper to the staff. It was felt that due to her experience she could best serve inasmuch as she is already acquainted with the bookeeping system and would not have to be trained. Also, with her knowledge of other City problems she could best serve the public by answering many of the questions that are brought to the office rather than a newly hired person unfamilar with these problems. It was also suggested that we should be thinking of the hiring of a receptionist for the City Hall. Ald. Cooley moved, seconded by Ald. Burgermeister that the Office of City Treasurer be made full time and that an additional receptionist be hired. Motion carried. Mrs. Bowyer also brought to the Committee many problems the office had been having regarding a State Auditor, mostly due to the unavail- ability of his services when we needed them.
