MINUTES OF MEETING OF MAY 5, 1965s 3:45 P.M., CITY HALL
PRESENT: Alderman Ed Budish as Chairman, Mayor Gottfried and
Aldermen Hudziak and DeAngelis.
MINUTES of the previous meeting were approved; however, Alderman
•Hudziak moved. that the minutes of April 20th be amended and corrected
to read that Nbis Heating Co. was awarded the heating contract at
the Horn Field Building rather than Mr. Kibbs. Alderman Budish
seconded the motion and motion carried.
Minutes of the Park and Recreation Board were then read and reviewed.
COMMUNICATION: Mr. Lee Hubka was concerned about building and pro-
viding a basketball and tennis court at a property assumed to be
owned by the City. This matter was referred to the Park and Recrea-
tion Board.
Communication from Mr. R. E. Purucher, Chief Engineer, Public Service
Commission, Madison, to Mayor Gottfried was read and reviewed. The
correspondence stated the Commission will have engineers make an
inspection of the Linnie Lac Dam and determine what action should be
taken concerning same.
• CONDEMNED COTTAGES: Building Inspector Lee advised the Committee
y correspondence that new proceedings have been activated. Two at
W159 s8303 and S83 W15990 Mystic Drive owned by Mrs. E. Lutch, also
another at W125 S9819 N. Cape Road, "a' Gerner�.
NOTICES TO CUT NOXIOUS WEEDS: Mayor Gottfried will check and deter-
mine if posters should be posted throughout the City or whether
newspaper notifications pertinent to cutting noxious weeds would be
sufficient.
DEPT. OF PUBLIC WELFARE (RELIEF BOARD): Annual meeting will be held
May 19th at :00 P.M. Alderman Budish moved that Alderman DeAngelis
be recommended to the Council to represent the City of Muskego at
the annual Waukesha County Group Welfare Associated meeting. Alder-
man Hudziak seconded the motion. Motion carried. Mayor Gottfried
stated he also would attempt to attend this meeting.
PUBLIC WELFARE CASE: This new case to be placed on file and reviewed
after reports are received from:.the Public Welfare Dept.
MISCELLANEOUS: Dumping operations at Wauer Site were discussed. The
trash and rubbish is now covered and the fire extinguished.
Entrance Signs: Mr. Knetzger has assured the Mayor he would have
• something to relate by the next Council meeting.
The next order of business was correspondence directed to the Mayor
and read by him to the Committee from Mr. Frank Rickert concerning
the Hales Corners Sand and Gravel operation. Alderman Hudziak moved
that the recommendation made by Rickert - Mielke pertinent to the
amount of bond for Section "A" of Hales Corners Sand and Gravel
restoration be accepted by the Council. The bond being for the amount
of $30,000.00. Alderman DeAngelis seconded the motion. Motion
carried.
NEWSLETTER: The possibility of a Newsletter for the City was dis-
cussed. It was mutually agreed by the Committee that a Newsletter
should be prepared periodically to inform all Muskego Citizens of
the activities, etc., within their City, and that a study of this
problem be made by this Committee to ascertain the cost factor, etc.,
of, such a venture prior to submitting the suggestion to the Council.
There being no further business, Alderman Budish moved to adjourn,
as seconded by Alderman DeAngelis, and meeting was adjourned at
5:00 P.M.
