COMMITTEE MEETING CONVENED FEB. 18, 1965 AT 7:00 P.M., AT
46 CITY HALL WITH ALDERMAN BUDISH AS CHAIRMAN, ALONG WITH ALDERMEN
HUDZIAK AND DE ANGELIS AND MAYOR GOTTFRIED IN ATTENDANCE.
FIRST ORDER OF BUSINESS WAS A DISCUSSION ON HORN FIELD
IMPROVEMENTS. ALDERMAN BUDISH STATED HE WILL CONTACT MR. GREGORY BOEHM
TO ESTIMATE THE COST TO FIX THE INSIDE OF THE BUILDING SITUATED
ON THESE GROUNDS. THIS ESTIMATE WOUyD INCLUDE THE COST TO LOWER
THE CEILING INSIDE THE BUILDING.
RECREATION BOARD MEMBERS: AN ORDINANCE PERTINENT TO THE PARK
AND RECREATION BOARD SHALL BE PRESENTED TO THE COUNCIL ON THE 23RD
OF FEBRUARY FOR FUTURE ACTION.
DUMPING PERMITS: MR. ADAM IGNASIAK'S DUMPING PERMIT APPLICAT-
ION HAS BEEN TURNED OVER TO THE FINANCE COMMITTEE. THIS GENTLEMAN
HAS ALSO BEEN NOTIFIED BY MAIL BY THE BUILDING INSPECTOR TO APPEAR
BEFORE THIS COMMITTEE ON FEBRUARY 22ND.
A COPY OF THE COMMUNICATION BYIBETWEEN BUILDING INSPECTOR LEE
AND QUIGLY BROS. WAS ALSO PLACED ON FILE. THIS PARTICULAR CORRES-
PONDENCE STATES, IN EFFECT, QUIGLY BROS. ARE DUMPING ON THE MUSKEGO
CITY DUMP WITHOUT A PERMIT, AND ADVISED THEM THEY ARE IN VIOLATION
AND MUST OBTAIN A RUBBISH AND GARBAGE PERMIT BEFORE ANY DUMPING
CAN BE DONE.
ENTRANCE SIGNS: SKETCHES AND DRAWINGS OF VARIOUS SIGNS
DRAWN BY MR. GERALD MIECH OF MUSKEGO WERE REVIEWED. IT WAS THE
GENERAL FEELING AMONG THE MEMBERS THAT ONE PARTICULAR DRAWING
OF THE RUSTIC HEAVY TIMBER TYPE WAS MOST DESIRABLE; HOWEVER,
BEFORE SUBMITTING ANY DRAWINGS TO THE COUNCIL, ALDERMAN HUDZIAK
MOVED TO HAVE NELSON & ASSOCIATES PREPARE DESIGN DRAWINGS OF THIS
TYPE AS DESCRIBED IN THEIR LETTER DATED FEBRUARY 2ND AND THAT A
RESOLUTION BE DRAWN TO PRESENT TO THE COUNCIL TO AUTHORIZE NELSON
& ASSOCIATES TO DO S0. ALDERMAN DE ANGELIS SECONDED THE MOTION.

PUBLIC WELFARE CASES: Two CASES WERE PLACED ON FILE. THIS
COMMITTEE WILL AWAIT THE REPORTS FROM THE COUNTY WELFARE DEPART-
MENT AT WHICH TIME THEY SHALL BE REVIEWED.
THE NEXT ORDER OF BUSINESS WAS THE REVIEW OF A COPY OF CORRES-
PONDENCE DATED FEBRUARY 1, 1965 FROM MR. RAYMOND J. HERRMAN,
DIRECTOR OF THE PUBLIC WELFARE GROUP, TO MR. RICHARD L. SYLVESTER,
WAUKESHA CO. CLERK. THE COMMITTEE AGREES WITH MR. HERRMANN THAT
MUSKEGO IS NOT LIABLE FOR THOSE CLAIMS AS STATED IN THIS
CORRESPONDENCE.
ALDERMAN HUDZIAK MOVED TO HAVE THE PUBLIC WELFARE COMMITTEE
APPROVE PAYMENT OF $1,182.38 AS CHARGES FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF
(PUBLIC WELFARE GROUP) FOR SERVICES RENDERED DURING DEC, 1964.
ALDERMAN DE ANGELIS SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED.
DOG CLAIM: ATTORNEY R. S. HIPPENMEYER'S LETTER TO MR. G.P.
STICKNEY DATED FEBRUARY 10PH REGARDING THE CLAIM OF DOG DAMAGES,
AS WELL AS HIS LETTER DATED FEBRUARY 11 TO OUR CITY CLERK, ALONG
WITH MR. STICKNEY'S WRITTEN WITHDRAWAL APPENDED THERETO, WERE
READ AND PLACED ON FILE.
BURIAL AND REMOVAL PERMITS: ALDERMAN BUDISH MOVED THAT THE
AGREEMENT BETWEEN WA UKESHA COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT AND THE CITY
OF MUSKEGO FOR THE ISSUANCE_ OF BURIAL AND REMOVAL PERMITS BE
APPROVED AND THAT MAYOR GO TFF�IED BE AUTHORIZED TO ENTER INTO
SAID AGREEMENT. ALDERMAN _UE ANGELIS SECONDED THE MOTION.

PARK AND OPEN SPACE PROGRAM: MAYOR GOTTFRIED'S CORRESPONDENCE
TO ALL THE ALDERMEN OF MUSKEGO REGARDING THIS PROGRAM WAS READ
AND REVIEWED. ALDERMAN DE ANGELIS MOVED THAT THE MAYOR'S REQUEST

COMMITTEE TO STUDY THE POTENTIAL AND PRESERVATION OF THE BIG
