HALL WITH ALDERMAN BUDISH AS CHAIRMAN, ALONG WITH MAYOR GOTTFRIED
AND ALDERMAN DE ANGELIS IN ATTENDANCE.
MINUTES OF THE LAST MEETING WERE APPROVED, AS AMENDED, BEING THAT
MAYOR GOTTFRIED WAS IN ATTENDANCE.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS
• CONDEMNATION OF BUILDINGS: THE DWELLINGS WHICH ARE UNDER CONDEMNAT-
ION PROCEDURES WERE DISCUSSED. ALDERMAN BUDISH MOVED TO REQUEST
PERMISSION FROM THE COUNCIL TO HAVE THE COTTAGE OWNED BY MR. IGNATZ
ANDRITCH RAZED WITHIN 30 DAYS BY THE BUILDING INSPECTOR AND THAT
A RESOLUTION BE DRAFTED TO PRESENT TO THE COUNCIL TO DO S0. ALDER-
MAN DE ANGELIS SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED. FOR FURTHER
PARTICULARS AS TO THE PROGRESS ON OTHER DWELLINGS UNDER CONDEMNAT-
ION, PLEASE REFER TO "SCHEDULE A" ATTACHED.
IGNASIAK'S DUMPING: THE FINANCE COMMITTEE HAS SUBMITTED THE SITUAT-
ION WHICH EXISTS AT THE SITE OF IGNASIAK'S DUMP TO THE WELFARE
COMMITTEE FOR REVIEW AND RECOMMENDATION. MEMBERS OF THE WELFARE
COMMITTEE, AS WELL AS MR. LEE (CITY BUILDING INSPECTOR), VIEWED
THE AREA IN QUESTION. AFTER DUE CONSIDERATION AND DISCUSSION, IT
SEEMED APPARENT THAT ACTION MUST IMMEDIATELY BE TAKEN TO CURB
THIS SITUATION. ALDERMAN DE ANGELIS CONSEQUENTLY MOVED THAT A
RECOMMENDATION BE MADE TO THE FINANCE COMMITTEE (LICENSE DIV) THAT
THE DUMPING PERMIT BE TEMPORARILY REVOKED UNTIL SUCH TIME AS MR.
IGNASIAK CAN ACHIEVE THE PROPER LAND FILL PROCEDURE, AS PER AGREE-
MENT WITH THE PAST TOWN BOARD. THIS MOTION WAS SECONDED BY ALDER-
MAN BUDISH. IT WAS ALSO MUTUALLY AGREED BY THE MEMBERS THAT MR.
IGNASIAK BE NOTIFIED BY REGISTERED MAIL OF THIS PENDING ACTION
PRIOR TO RELEASE OF ITS RECOMMENDATION TO THE FINANCE COMMITTEE,
AND THAT A MEETING BE SET FOR 4: 00 P. M. , FEB. 1 OTH, WHEREAS MR.
IGNASIAK MAY SHOW CAUSE WHY THIS ACTION SHOULD NOT BE TAKEN.
ROBERT MUELLER (LICENSE) DUMPING AT ALFRED WAUER'S PIT: WELFARE
COMMITTEE INTENDS TO CONTACT MR. ROBERT MUELLER AND MR. WAUER IN
ORDER TO DISCUSS AND ASCERTAIN THEIR INTENTIONS AS TO THE PROPER
USE OF THE DUMPING SITE. A MEETING WILL BE SCHEDULED ON OR ABOUT
FEBRUARY 15TH.
RECREATION PROGRAM: IMPROVEMENTS RELATIVE TO HORN FIELD WAS DIS-
CUSSED. ALDERMAN BUDISH STATED HE WOULD CONTACT THE OFFICERS OF
THE JEWEL CREST ADVANCEMENT ASSOC. IN AN ATTEMPT TO ACQUIRE THE USE
OF THE RECREATION CENTER LOCATED AT DIAMOND DR. IN THE JEWEL CREST
SUBD. THIS PRESENTLY WOULD BE DONE IN LIEU OF FURTHERING THE BIDS
ON THE FURNACE, ETC., AT HORN FIELD.
PUBLIC WELFARE BUDGET: ALDERMAN BUDISH MOVED FOR A $10,000 BUDGET
FOR PUBLIC WELFARE, AS THAT ESTABLISHED IN THE PREVIOUS YEAR IS
BUDGET. ALDERMAN DE ANGELIS SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED.
1 MISCELLANEOUS PUBLIC WELFARE: MAYOR GOTTFRIED STATED THAT NELSON
•AND ASSOC., POSSIBLY WOULD PRESENT THEIR SKETCHES ON ENTRANCE SIGNS
FOR OUR NEW CITY IN THE NEAR FUTURE.
A COMMUNICATION WAS RECEIVED FROM SCHOOL BD. DIRECTOR, MR. GEORGE
GUHR CONCERNING THE WIDENING OF WOODS RD., TO RELIEVE THE APPARENT
CONGESTION CREATED BY SCHOOL BUSES ENTERING AND LEAVING THAT AREA.
THIS MATTER SHALL BE REFERRED TO THE PUBLIC WORKS CiOMMITTEE•

BOARD ORDERED THE BUILDING TORN DOWN AND REMOVED 60 DAYS FROM
FEB. 21, 1964. NO OCCUPANTS WERE LIVING IN THE COTTAGE AT THIS
TIME. COTTAGE HAS NO SEPTIC, WATER SIMPLY DRAINS OUTSIDE WHILE
