PUM20070326CITY OF MUSKEGO Approved PUBLIC UTILITIES COMMITTEE MEETING Minutes of the Meeting tlelld Monday, March 26, 2007 Chairperson Madden cE lled the meeting to order at 5:02 p.m. Present — Committee Person Alderman Tina Schaefer, Committee Person Alderman Tracey Snead, Public Utilities Superintendent: Scott Kloskowski, City Administrator Jennifer Sheiffer, Alderman Melcher, and. Ruckert & Mielke representative Steve Schultz. Approval of the Minutes for meeting held February 19, 2007 Ald. Snead moved, seconded by Ald. Schaefer to approve the minutes as presented. Motion carried, 3-0. Status of Projects Mr. Schultz, Ruekert & M:ielke updated the Committee on on -going projects as per the attached consultant's report. In addition, he reported that the Lake Lore Tudor Oaks building was demolished that day and underground demo. is proceeding. Superintendent Kloskowski noted that for the Belle Chase project, the pond that was being looked at off site has now been located on. -site. Following Status of Projects, Chairman. Madden went to New Business #2 Discuss parking on lift station lot on Pioneer Dr. Superintendent Kloskowski explained that Mr. Kurt Lembke, W180 S7683 Pioneer, has been parking his trucks (2) and camper on the City owned lift station lot which is next to his house. Superintendent Kloskowski indicated that while this has not been a problem, the retaining walls are starting to give some and may need to be removed/replaced. Mr. Lembke stated that the camper he has there is being moved to a permanent campsite May 1. He stated he would move the camper sooner if the City wants him to but he would prefer to leave it for the next month so he only has to move it once. Following discussion which. including liability concerns raised by Ald. Schaefer, the Committee directed that Mr. Lembke must move the camper from the City owned lot by May 15, 2007. Between this meeting and the next P.U. Committee meeting, Committee members would view the site and to assist in determining further action. Sewer Unfinished Business Status of Forced Connection — Martin Dr. - Superintendent Kloskowski noted that he and the Mayor would be meeting with this property owner about a different topic and might have something to report at the next meeting concerning the forced connection. Determination of sewer service for Crystal Lake Subdivision Addition #1— Nothing new to report. Determination of sanitary sewer for properties west of Lake Denoon — Fenwick Estates — Nothing new to report. Sewer New Business Authorization for Ruekert & Mielke to design lift: station for Belle Chasse Subdiv. - The Committee directed that Superintendent Klo skowski should proceed with obtaining a proposal from R & M to design a lift station for Belle Chase Subdiv. Water Unfinished Business Determination of water service for Crystal Lake Subdivision Addn.#1 - Nothing new to report. Subdivider's Exhibits Request for Overs.iz:ing reimbursement - Boxhorn Reserve Subdivision - Per the recommendation from Boonestroo to Planning Director Muenkel, Ald. Snead moved, seconded by Ald. Schaefer to approve the oversizing reimbursement request for Boxhorn Reserve Subdiv.in the amount of $20,622.88. Motion carried, 3 - 0. Adjournment - Ald. Snead moved, seconded by Ald.
